Meet Dr. Jeff Munn
Dr. Jeffrey L. Munn, DVM, grew up in Oxford, NC, with a clear vision: to become a veterinarian and own his own practice. Staying true to his dream, he graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and embarked on a journey that would combine his love for veterinary medicine with entrepreneurship.
In 2002, Dr. Munn co-founded Poplar Animal Hospital in Concord, NC, starting with nothing more than an idea at a kitchen table and a sign in a field. Today, it’s a thriving six-doctor practice that serves 22,000 patient visits annually. Alongside his wife, Kathy—also a veterinarian—Dr. Munn has built a career centered around mentorship, speaking, and empowering veterinarians to embrace entrepreneurial principles.
Dr. Munn and his wife, Kathy, are proud parents of two young adults, Austin and Lauren. Austin is set to graduate as a civil engineer from Clemson University in 2024, while Lauren is pursuing occupational therapy at the University of Florida. The Munn household is completed by their two spirited cats, Stormy and Zorro.
